WB Manufacturing - West Security Products -
Copper-Guard - WB Security Products - WB Service Company - Lies
-
a story of a contractor and the customer they
screwed over.
| NOTE: ALL THESE PICTURES WERE TAKEN AFTER THEY LEFT THE PROJECT UNFINISHED. I HAD TO REWORK THE CAGES AT THE COST OF SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS. SEE DETAILS AND MORE PROOF AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE. | |||||||
| WB Manufacturing sells Copper-Guard™
cages to protect your HVAC A/C
Units from Copper Theft. The cages themselves are fine if they
were properly provided and installed, but the company is a nightmare.
Don't count on getting what you paid for. 10/10/2008 at 10:22AM - Dean West says - "We'll take care of it." But they don't take care of it. Yes, that's a hole they created, and then they called this
a patch that they fixed! |
And are the cages safe? Just ask my A/C Contractor. "These things are not safe, they are gonna fall and kill somebody." - They put the hinges on wrong, so they don't flip to stay on top. Well, they did on half of them. The other half they didn't, and they won't fix them. So when the A/C techs work on them, if they fall, you have 80 pounds of steel swinging to crush the tech. What happens if you think they are doing things
wrong? |
||||||
Where did the holes come from? They are sloppy when they work. Look
at all the nails and pieces of shaved steel they leave behind. On an EPDM
roof, that's bad news.![]() |
Their website says "Galvanized Hinges" that will not rust. ANOTHER LIE. They don't always used Galvanized Hinges - see below. ![]() |
||||||
| Their website also guarantees they won't affect your units.
Ooops. Sometimes they don't paint the units as their website
promises. My AC tech says if we don't fix this, it will rust through our units, void the warranty, and cause a leak into our building. ![]() |
They are not licensed. On 9/25/08 at 10:41am in an email from Dean West - "We are HVAC contractors licensed H1, H2 and H3 in NC and SC" Really? See for yourself. Go to http://www.nclicensing.org/ and click License Search on the left hand side of the page. Search for Dean West or WB Manufacturing. |
